of God flows out of the secret place. Prayer is the umbilical cord that
links the human spirit to the spirit of God. As we grow closer to
God and take on more of the mind of Christ, we become ever more mindful
that prayer is not a skill or a practice. It is not something we
do, but something we become. We learn to replace words with the way we
live. We are to pray in such a way as to define our life and to live in
such a way as to define our prayer. It will not be easy to replace our
words with our life.
